Winner Announced of Mongey La Touche Cup at Punchestown

Congratulations to local trainer, Peter Maher, who won the prestigious Mongey Communications La Touche Cup at Punchestown 2022!

It was another thrilling week of racing and Mongey Communications was delighted to sponsor the prestigious La Touche Cup, with Peter Maher taking home the prize alongside jockey, Tiernan Power, onboard Ballyboker Bridge on day three of the festival. Peter won this race in 2019 with Ballyboker Bridge also.

A real test of endurance and stamina, the Mongey Communications La Touche Cup is a cross country race which incorporates four miles of thirty-five jumps over a combination of natural obstacles such as laurel hedges, drop banks and steeplechase fences.

The race is also steeped in history and tradition, as it is named in honour of the La Touche family who donated the land on which Punchestown racecourse operates, and with which Mongey Communications has a long-standing association.
